Award-winning New Jersey dance instructor Victor Hom is an innovative protagonist of ZUMBA, contemporary ballet, ballroom and latin dance, performing along side the best in show business in a career that many dancers can only dream of.
Ranked Fifth in the Tournament of Champions, Victor Hom is a seasoned competitor in the Caribbean Dance Sport Classic, the New Jersey Freestyle, and Dancing with the Stars Pre-show Challenge.
Guest Director of Arthur Murrays International for 2009 and ballroom dance instructor at Arthur Murray International, Victor Hom trained from an early age as a scholarship student at the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Princeton Ballet School, Nutmeg Ballet, the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet and the State University of New York.
His enviable dance career includes star-studded performances on national TV and under the stage lights at sell-out performances in New York City, Caracas, Beijing, Tel Aviv and Moscow.
Performing a wide range of styles with a variety of dance groups, Victor Hom is a sucessful and versatile dance instructor with an extensive and varied repertoire, achieving Career Success awards from New Jersey State Mercer County.
Victor Hom has performed with the innovative New York based modern dance company HT Chen and Dancers; a dance group famed for its cultural heritage embodying unique Asian-American expression. He has also performed contemporary modern and classical ballet with the Purchase Dance Corp, the Hamilton Ballet Theatre, Ballet Tempo de Caracas, and the internationally renowned Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas: one of the most successful dance companies in south America, breaking box-office records in Venezuelan theatres and theatres abroad.
Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas' hit productions include: Philippe Trehet's "Song of Songs" Thierry Malandain's "Mozart Mambo", and Maria Barrios' "Carmina Burana".
Institutions of the arts frequently call upon Victor's expertise as an accopmished dancer in a wide range of styles, including: Temple University; Hamilton College; Arizona State University; Jacksonville University; Fairleigh Dickinson University; the University of Chicago; and Newark Museum.
